What is the shelf life of your dog treats and how do they need to be stored?
We fresh bake our cupcakes and gourmet treats to give you the best quality gourmet dog treats upon arrival.

Just like ‘human’ cupcakes, the shelf life for our cupcakes is 4-5 days (if they last that long!). You can freeze the cupcakes to extend the shelf life for several months. Shelf life for our dog biscuit gourmet treats like our Lollipups or Terrier Tarts is 6-8 weeks.

For general storage, a good “rule of thumb” is to store our dog treats how you would normally store your fresh baked cookies from your kitchen. If you live in an area with high temperate conditions you should take care with treats decorated with carob or yoghurt. In this case, our treats would be best stored in the fridge.

Do you use preservatives in your dog treats and are the ingredients safe for dogs?
All of our dog treats are baked fresh in our kitchen using human grade ingredients with no added preservatives, additives, salt or sugar. We only use ingredients that are safe for your pet including treat decorations made with carob or yogurt (no chocolate is ever used). You can find more information about our ingredients here.

Our treats are designed to be a little piece of decadence for your four legged furry friend and should not replace a healthy balanced diet.

How much is shipping and how is it calculated?
We base our shipping on weight. To get the best value shipping use the product weight which is displayed under the product image and the guide below.

Under 500g: $10.00
501g – 3000g: $15.00
3001g – 5000g: $20.00
5001g – 8000g: $25.00
8001g – 10000g: $30.00

After I place an order, how long does it take to process my order and ship?
After placing your order online, it usually ships within 3 business days Monday – Friday.  During peak periods like Christmas, orders may take longer so please allow extra time for delivery.

We’ll aim to use the quickest delivery method with Australia Post to ensure that your treats arrive as fast as possible. Due to the short shelf life of the cupcakes please consider delivery times to your location, particularly if you’re remotely located.

Our birthday cakes and Peanut Butter Pup cupcakes are unable to be shipped. Please contact us if you’d like to arrange collection of these items.

What do I do if there is a problem with my order or I’d like to cancel?
If you experience any problems during the purchasing process or when you receive your order please contact us immediately so we can help to resolve your issue.

What if my order arrives damaged?
We take the utmost care when packaging our products for shipping but if your treats are damaged during transit, please contact us within 7 after receiving your order for a refund or replacement instructions. Any returns after this time will not be accepted.

Is shopping online with Sweet Chops secure?
You can shop online with confidence. We have partnered with PayPal, a global leader in online payment solutions since 1998, to offer safe and secure credit card transactions for our customers. The PayPal Payment Gateway manages the complex routing of sensitive customer information through the credit card processing networks. Sweet Chops will not have access to your credit card details. PayPal adheres to strict industry standards for payment processing.

What if I don’t have PayPal?
If you don’t have a PayPal account you can still pay by credit card or from your bank account using the secure PayPal network.When you get the PayPal screen on the left hand side there will be an option to pay by credit card. You’ll be asked to enter an email address so you can receive a payment confirmation. If you have ever set up a PayPal account using this address you will be automatically asked to log into PayPal. You can either attempt to recover your password and use PayPal or use an alternative email address that does not have a PayPal account attached.

Is my personal information safe and what will you be using it for?
If you place an order with Sweet Chops, you’ll need to provide us with certain information on our online order form(s). This information will be used by us and PayPal for billing purposes and to fill your order. We will never provide the personal details we’ve collected from you to a third party.

From time to time we may email you regarding our site, products and services and special offers. You can choose to stop receiving these emails at any time. Information on how to opt out of receiving email is provided with every marketing email sent.

How many dogs will the dog birthday cakes serve?
Our small birthday cake is approximately 10cm in diameter & 7cm in height and will serve up to 4 small slices of cake. Our large dog birthday cake is approximately 25cm in diameter & 8cm in height and will serve up to 12 medium slices of cakes. You could serve more dogs with smaller pieces. Please serve portion appropriate for your dog.

Can the birthday cakes be personalised?
The large birthday cakes can be personalised with your dog’s name. We do our best but it’s not always possible to personalise the small cakes. If ordering online, please include your dogs name in the comments field. You can also email us with your birthday cake requirements.

How far in advance should I order a birthday cake?
We need 1-2 weeks’ notice to make your birthday cake. The cakes will last approximately 3-4 days so you should aim to collect the cake as close as possible to the big day. Collection is from Ashgrove, QLD.
