What is the shelf life of your kits and how do they need to be stored?
The cupcake kits will last approx. 6 months. If you wanted to extend the shelf life of the kit you could remove the cookies from the box and freeze these for several months.
Once baked, just like ‘human’ cupcakes, the shelf life for the cupcakes is 4-5 days (if they last that long!). You can also freeze the iced cupcakes to extend the shelf life for several months and help with rationing your dog.
The cookie kits will last approx. 12 months. Once baked, the cookies will last approx. 3 weeks. You can also freeze the iced cookies to extend the shelf life for several months.
For general storage, a good “rule of thumb” is to store the kits how you would store other baking supplies. If you live in an area with high temperate conditions you should take care with the cupcake kits as they contain carob or yoghurt. In this case, the kits would be best stored in the fridge.
Do you use preservatives in your kits and are the ingredients safe for dogs?
All of our kits contain human grade ingredients with no added preservatives, additives, salt or sugar. We only use ingredients that are safe for your dog including treat decorations made with carob or yogurt (no chocolate is ever used). You can find more information about our ingredients here.
Our kits are designed so you can bake your four legged furry friend a little piece of decadence and should not replace a healthy balanced diet.
After I place an order, how long does it take to process my order and ship?
After placing your order online, it usually ships within 3 business days Monday – Friday.
We use Australia Post to send our parcels which all have tracking numbers.
During peak periods like Christmas, orders may take longer so please allow extra time for delivery.
Deliveries are sent the next day if items are in stock, so if you need your goodies for the weekend, make sure you organise to purchase at the start of the week and choose Express Post as this is next day service to Metropolitan areas.
NOTE: We take all the necessary care when packaging your goodies which also includes lots of bubble wrap and special reflective wrapping to protect from the heat. BUT we do not take any responsiblity for the parcels once they are handed to the courier or Australia Post. We also take no responsibility if parcels are left outside in the sun for prolong periods once dropped off by the delivery person. We advise the best way to ship is Express Post (next day delivery in most areas) and preferrably to an address that you will be availble to take ownership of the parcel.
How much does it cost to post to my area?
The items are based on weight and vary. Freight options are available on checkout to choose from.
We use Australia Post for express orders.
What do I do if there is a problem with my order or I’d like to cancel?
If you experience any problems during the purchasing process or when you receive your order please contact us immediately so we can help to resolve your issue.
What if my order arrives damaged?
We take the utmost care when packaging our products for shipping but if your goods are damaged during transit, please contact us within 3 days after receiving your order for a refund or replacement instructions. Any returns after this time will not be accepted.
Is shopping online with Sweet Chops secure?
You can shop online with confidence. We have partnered with PayPal, a global leader in online payment solutions since 1998, to offer safe and secure credit card transactions for our customers. The PayPal Payment Gateway manages the complex routing of sensitive customer information through the credit card processing networks. Sweet Chops will not have access to your credit card details. PayPal adheres to strict industry standards for payment processing.
What if I don’t have PayPal?
If you don’t have a PayPal account you can still pay by credit card or from your bank account using the secure PayPal network. When you get the PayPal screen on the left hand side there will be an option to pay by credit card. You’ll be asked to enter an email address so you can receive a payment confirmation. If you have ever set up a PayPal account using this address you will be automatically asked to log into PayPal. You can either attempt to recover your password and use PayPal or use an alternative email address that does not have a PayPal account attached.

Is my personal information safe and what will you be using it for?
If you place an order with Sweet Chops, you’ll need to provide us with certain information on our online order form(s). This information will be used by us and PayPal for billing purposes and to fill your order. We will never provide the personal details we’ve collected from you to a third party.
